Inland Valley Repertory Theatre (IVRT) Announces its 2026 Season

Inland Valley Repertory Theatre Company (IVRT) proudly announces its 2026 season. Founded in 1990 by Frank and Donna Marie Minano, IVRT has consistently aimed to present high-quality local theatrical productions that promote the talents of actors of all ages. For 36 years the company has remained committed to its vision, receiving numerous honors, including Inland Empire Magazine’s 2025 “Best of The Inland Empire” award for Best Performing Arts Company. As a non-profit, regional theatre company, IVRT has performed throughout the Inland Valley at various venues. The shows in its 2026 season will be performed at the University of La Verne’s Morgan Auditorium.

The season opens with a breathtaking musical adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s beloved tale, The Secret Garden. When 11-year old Mary Lennox is sent from India to live with her grieving uncle and his ailing son on a lonely Yorkshire estate, she discovers a hidden garden – a place of mystery and magic that transforms all who enter. The Secret Garden is filled with haunting melodies and timeless themes of hope and renewal. Performances run from March 28 to April 4.

Celebrate the summer with the blockbuster musical Footloose. With electrifying new songs and unforgettable smash hits from the Oscar-nominated score, Footloose ignites the stage with high-octane dance, unstoppable energy, and pure celebration. Don’t miss the thrill of youth, the joy of connection, and the redemptive power of forgiveness. Performances run from July 18 to August 1.

Running in tandem with Footloose is SCRIPTFEST – a showcase of IVRT’s company members presenting compelling stories. This year, two plays will be presented in a readers' theatre format: Ronald Harwood’s play Quartet on July 24, and Terrence McNally’s comedy It’s Only a Play on July 31. IVRT’s season subscribers will have free access to SCRIPTFEST.

IVRT’s 2026 season concludes with Plaid Tidings. This Christmas spectacular bundles the best of Forever Plaid into an unforgettable evening, wrapped up in a sparkling bow of laughter, nostalgia, and yuletide joy. Set in the 1950s and packed with holiday classics, the four Plaids will deck the halls with their close-harmony vocal stylings, a bit of mischief, and a whole lot of heart. Plaid Tidings will be performed on November 28 and 29.

Performances of The Secret GardenFootloosePlaid Tidings, and SCRIPTFEST will take place at Morgan Auditorium on the beautiful campus of the University of La Verne. Individual ticket prices for the three musicals range from $55 to $65 (including a $4 processing fee), and a Scriptfest two-show pass can be purchased for $24 (including a $4 processing fee).
