DESCRIPTION:Presented by Middle Tree & Proudly Sponsored by Citrus Grove Distillers\n\n\n\nYou are invited to attend a Halloween Costumed Soiree\, Saturday\, October 19\, 2019\n\nOctober 1847\, the Firewater Public House (the site of which is now the Citrus Grove Distillery) and meeting location of the infamous secret Vauxhall Esoteric Xenophile Society\, also known as VEX\, was the scene of much public attention and scandal.  \n\nOn that fateful night\, all the members of VEX\, gathering for their annual Halloween Costumed Soiree\, vanished without a trace\, never to be seen or heard from again\, leaving behind only a few curious and odd clues to what may have happened and many\, many years of theories and speculations ..\n\n\n\nNever proven\, the society's membership was said to include some of the most notorious and controversial figures of the times.  Rumors and whispers included such members as Madame Lisa\, the world-renowned apothecarist skilled in herbology and toxicology\, the Duke of Claret\, Dr. Joseph Atman\, famed explorer known for his legendary piano skills\,  the partnership of Sir Ray and Sir Justin whose scientific experiments were so audacious the duo was nicknamed the Maniacal Bottle Boys of Claremont\, inventor & archaeologist\, Sir Matthew Martin-Hall\, Dutchess Maddy\, socialite and hostess extraordinaire\, purveyor of said establishment\, Monsieur Benny\, master spiritualist\, the Oakenblood sisters\, also referred to as the Dark Enchantresses\, and other well known members of society.\n\n\n\nAs the legend goes\, every year around the anniversary of the mysterious disappearance\, if the conditions are right\, the members of VEX gather once again to frolic and make merry at their favorite gathering place. \n\nJoin us to Welcome VEX back .\n\nSaturday\, October 19\, 2019 at Citrus Grove Distillers \n\nFestivities commence at 7 pm  \n\n\n\nEntertainment Offerings will feature:\n\nSpiritual Readings\, Ask A Witch Table\, Silent Auction\, Raffle and other darkly delicious surprises .\n\nChef Milo's Catering will be offering savory and tempting edibles off the menu\n\n\n\nAll proceeds from this event will benefit the Middle Tree Scholarship and Community Workshops Fund. Help us make Education available to everyone!\n\nMiddle Tree is a community-based 501(C)(3) non-profit in Claremont\, California.
