DESCRIPTION:John Forney and Jim Rhoads  will discuss "The Opioid Crisis" on Monday\, June 24\, at the Democratic Club of Claremont's monthly meeting.  The program will begin at 7:00 PM in Napier Commons Room\, 660 Avery Road\, on the campus of Pilgrim Place.\n\n \n\nForney and Rhoads have recently begun a project in West Virginia to combat its drug epidemic.  The facility\, House of Hope\, Ohio Valley\,  will attempt to be all-inclusive\, providing patients and families with on-campus living and life skills along with counseling\, training and employment opportunities.  Both speakers have vast experience with the treatment of dependencies. Forney\, past-president of the Democratic Club of Claremont\, has a background in counseling and management.  Rhoads\, a retired medical recovery expert\, has designed and managed programs at local hospitals.\n\n \n\nIn addition\, Tara Schultz\, Claremont City Manager\, will present  a brief program about Claremont's financial outlook.\n\n \n\nA brief business meeting will follow. \n\n \n\nThe event is free and open to the public.
