DESCRIPTION:This event is sponsored by Children's Fund Claremont / West End Auxillary.\n\n\n\nHome Tour to Raise Funds for Children At-Risk\n\nChildren's Fund Auxiliary to host tour of elegant homes in Claremont\n\nClaremont\, California   Supporting their mission to prevent child abuse in our community\, the Claremont West End Auxiliary of Children's fund will host their annual gala and home tour fundraiser. The Gala will take place on April 21 and feature guest speaker Dr. Amy Young from the Children's Assessment Center in San Bernardino.\n\n    The Home Tour on April 22 and 23 will showcase three unique homes in Claremont. The home of world travelers\, Carol and Bill Christiansen\, at 4715 Webb Canyon Rd. will be featured along with the home of Judi and Bill Manis at 3821 Grand. This home will also be the site of artisan vendors\, "Found Treasures" merchandise\, and complementary refreshments. Both of the homes have been newly remondeled and recorated to proved large\, open entertaining spaces that are flooded with natural light. Each home is unique in style and decor reflecting the owners' personal tastes. \n\n    The third home on display is a new construction at 731 Hood Street. This home is unfurnished\, but will showcase the work of local artists. Many of the pieces will be offered for sale by the artists. Flower arrangements are provided by Archibald Florist\, Carol's Secret Garden and Wisteria Grove.  Graber Olives will also provide a table display at one of the homes.\n\n    "This event has proven to be a popular and successful fundraiser to provide support to our most vulnerable children\," stated Wanda Pyle\, president of the organization. "We are dedicated to the task of breaking destructive cycles through community partnerships and events such as this."\n\n    Children's Fund was founded 30 years ago to serve abused\, neglected and impoverished children throughout San Bernardino and eastern Los Angeles counties. Since their inception\, they have served 1.4 million children and last year alone\, more than 78\,000 services were provided to children in need.  According to Kerry Castel De Oro\, event chairman\, "Our goal is that abused children will be treated and given hope for a better future for themselves."\n\n\n\n    Tickets for the gala are thirty-five dollars and tickets for the home tour are thirty dollars and may be purchased from many of the businesses in downtown Claremont.
