About Us

POMONA VALLEY ART ASSOCIATION is a non-profit cooperative organization dedicated to creating interest, offering education, and the enjoyment of art in all its various forms. The Gallery SOHO is PVAA's gallery and currently 57 artists out of 200+ members enjoy exhibiting their artwork there. PVAA got its start in 1948 here in the Pomona Valley from the leadership of Millard Sheets and Milford Zornes among other notable local artists. Moving to different locations in the valley, the Gallery SOHO now enjoys a prime Claremont location near the Claremont Colleges where it founders taught and close to the many famous installations of these founding fathers.

In its effort to bring experiential education to the community, PVAA has grown to include a vigorous annual calendar which includes a TriAnnual Juried Exhibit (now at City Hall), an annual Open Juried Show, and an annual Youth Arts Show. In addition to our Exhibiting Artists installation at Gallery SOHO (which changes three times per year), we enjoy participating in Claremont's monthly Art Walk and the Village Venture. Many of our artists are active exhibiting outside of PVAA and the Gallery SOHO as well. Such exhibitions are included on our web page to support our artists efforts and growth.
